Story
Sir Joshua Reynolds was an the English painter famous for portraiture. He was one of the founders of The Royal Academy of Arts and was knighted by George III. This medal commemorates him as a painter and the reverse depits The Infant Hercules, a painting which he worked on for longer than any other and was exhibited in The Royal Academy in 1788.
