20th Century Historical Medallions
The Art deco artists of the early 20th Century helped continue the medallion production covering Royal, artistic and industrial events, however after World War II, medal production reduced significantly and after the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, no official coronation medallion was released. As technology has advanced during the 20th Century, giving rise to other forms of media to recognise an event, the medallion now has more significance from an historical perspective.
