Story
On 10th February 1840, Queen Victoria married her first cousin Prince Albert in the Chapel Royal at St James' Palace. It was one of the few royal marriages where there was a true love commitment between the two. They had 9 children together and following Prince Albert's early death of typhoid fever Victoria plunged into decades of mourning and she wore black for the remainder of her life.
