Story
Prince Frederick, Duke of York was King George III's 2nd son and younger brother to George IV, Prince of Wales. He followed a military career from a young age and had early successes but some significant losses in the late 1790's. The nursery rhyme "The grand old Duke of York" was about this Duke and referred to some of his failures on the battlefield.
