Story
In 1746, the Jacobite army was defeated by the English which resulted in the end of the Jacobite rising. It was a very cold and wet morning and the Duke of Cumberland who led the English army took advantage of the poorly organised Jacobites led by Prince Charles Edward Stuart. Jacobite casualties exceeded 1500 compared to less than 100 for the English side.
